The 13th international eXtreme QCD (XQCD) conference will be held from Sep. 21 to Sep. 23 this year at Central China Normal University (CCNU), Wuhan. This workshop is held in the week before the Quark Matter Conference in Kobe from Sep. 27 to Oct. 3.
The XQCD is a series of international workshop-style conferences, held annually, which aims to cover recent advances in the theory and phenomenology of QCD in extreme conditions of temperature and/or baryon density, together with related topics. The program traditionally consists of invited and contributed talks as well as a poster session.
This year's XQCD workshop focuses on the following topics:
- QCD at high temperature and baryon density
- QCD in external magnetic fields
- In-medium hadron properties
- Transport properties of strong-interaction matter
- Status of Heavy Ion Collision experiments
- Neutron stars
- Related topics
The workshop will be held in the conference room 9409 on the 4th floor of College of Physical Science and Technology and its location can be found here.
There is no registration fee and meals & tea breaks are provided free of charge. A self-paid (~ 1200 RMB pp including meals, tickes and lodging) two-day excursion to UNESCO site Lushan National Park after the workshop will be arranged.
The deadline for registration & abstract submission is Aug. 7, 2015.
The workshop is sponsored by the Center of Nuclear Matter Science, Key MOE Laboratory of Quark & Lepton Physics, Central China Normal University (CCNU) and Peking University.
